Explanation of this rating:
I thought that it was an amazing book. It had lots of good descriptive language and look of detail. It definitely painted a picture in my mind. The work on needed to be that maybe make it a bit more realistic. ( It had a talking dragon in it. Also I ended early to make me think more about it.

BOOK REVIEW

Book title:  Something Real
Author:  Heather Demetrios
Review by: Hannah Shepherd
Blurb about book:
As soon as I pull into the drive, my good mood is gone, like someone came over and kicked it out of me. I hit the brakes and stare. The telltale signs of my childhood are everywhere: vans with satellite dishes on top, the Mercedes with the familiar BRN4REEL license plate, and ropes of thick black cables that crawl around the house like prehistoric predators, squeezing everyone inside until they suffocate…. I close my eyes and beg the universe to pleasepleaseplease let this be an extreme flashback. It’s not real. Not real. Not. I open my eyes-this is really happening.
Would you recommend this book and for whom?
I would recommend this book for people who like adventure, love and tv cause this is another young adults book.
Similar to any other books?

BOOK REVIEW

Book title:  Eleanor & Park
Author:  Rainbow Rowell
Review by: Hannah Shepherd
Blurb about book:
Eleanor...red hair, wrong clothes. Standing behind, he before he turns his head. Lying beside him until he wakes up. Making everyone else seem drabber and flabber and never good enough...Eleanor.
Park...He knows she’ll love a song before he plays it for her. He laughs at her jokes before she ever gets to the punch line. There’s a place on his chest, just below his throat, that makes her want to keep her promises...Park.

Set over the course of one school year, this is the story of two star-crossed sixteen-year-olds-smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try.
Would you recommend this book and for whom?
I would recommend this book but only to people who like love and a very tiny bit of adventure because this is a young adult book from Khandallah Library. I would also recommend it for 10 and up.
Similar to any other books?
It’s similar to some other love books but Eleanor is new in town.
